Nepal has raised the number of people missing after the Aug. 26 floods to 6,150 following updated district-level verification. The previous count stood at 5,179, meaning authorities added 971 names to the national total. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority reported the revised figures as search and identification work continued. Authorities have recovered 1,403 bodies since the disaster. They have formally identified 105 of those victims.
More than 55,000 people left high-risk areas across Hainan after extreme rainfall caused flooding and landslide threats. Authorities expanded evacuations through September 14 as rivers rose and water entered vulnerable communities. The operation covered low-lying districts, areas near waterways and locations exposed to geological hazards. Emergency teams also arranged temporary shelter and essential supplies for residents who could not return home.
The UAE president traveled with a senior delegation covering foreign affairs, trade, industry, defence, national security and advanced technology. Structured training supports breeding standards
Accepted breeders and their teams will receive specialist instruction through Abu Dhabi Nature Academy. Courses and workshops will cover responsible houbara breeding, animal welfare, biosecurity and the management of breeding facilities. The training will also address operational practices used in managed breeding programs. Participants who complete the required courses can receive certificates, while specialists will continue providing technical guidance during their involvement in the initiative.
